The story of a photographer
Hey Hey, Welcome... I'm Kym your local Boutique Photographer creating amazing WALL ART just for you!!
Firstly I'm a mother to a couple of crazy, beautiful kids. I've been busy growing them up and had a break from being a photographer for approx 8yrs. Before kids I was shooting up to 30 weddings a year and dabbling in Families, Boudoir and Babies... It's now 2023 and my babies are big now!! I had no idea how much I missed photographing people until I got back into it in 2020.
I love capturing Families, loving & laughing. Bold, emotional and colourful is what I aim for. Prompted not posed! Don't look at my camera, look at your loved ones, laugh, smile, close your eyes and breathe them in.. Treasure them for who they are now, who they were and who they'll become..
Creating lasting memories is a bit of a thing for me.. You see 13 years ago. My husband died. And my whole world came crashing down on me and I didn't know if I would even survive the pain I was going through.. Let alone ever enjoy being alive again. Part of me died with him that day and I felt like the tin man, going through the motions of life, without a heart. BUT thankfully, I found personal development and I worked on my stuff, my grief and all the things layered on top of and underneath that.. AND I decided to study and become a counsellor & a Life coach.. and I worked hard because I wanted to make a difference in peoples lives. I wanted to show them that no matter what happens to them, they could still live.. mostly, I wanted them to LIVE THEIR LIFE IN FULL BLOOM.
So here I am, a qualified life coach AND Photographer.. Joining my 2 passions together. Capturing peoples stories, creating treasured WALL ART.. Mostly of them living their life in full bloom.. And that makes my heart super happy!
You know.. I have one family photo of the 4 of us (well maybe 2 - one with my 2 day old baby in a sling and you couldn't see his face - so that doesn't count) And that's it. I had no wall art on my walls, it took my husbands death to realise how important it is to create these memories that will live on way after we do. My kids have big canvas pictures of their Dad up on their walls, and I know how much it means to them, to see him still a part of their lives, as they grow...
P.S. I have an amazing partner now and we have a crazy fun loving blended family... you should see our family pics with all the funny farm animals included.. LOVE!!
